I come from a family of musicians of Eastern European heritage. My Hungarian mother sang opera and lieder, and my Ukrainian father played the violin in the Canberra Symphony Orchestra, for musicals and in chamber ensembles. My grandfather made 77 violins and enjoyed the rare opportunity of meeting Bartók in Budapest!
Invited to study composition and piano at the then Canberra School of Music by composer, Larry Sitsky, I finished my Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Adelaide with Graeme Koehne and had freelance composition lessons with Ross Edwards in Sydney.
Music has always been oxygen for my soul. It is therapeutic, creative and fun. Whether you aim to become a professional musician or simply want to better enjoy playing the piano and expand your musical knowledge, I offer tuition that supports your musical goals.
I have composed and performed music for piano, voice, chamber ensembles, choir, electronics, film and shadow puppetry. I create my own music and foster a love of music and culture through performance salons. Follow the links below to listen to a collection of my compositions and performances on SoundCloud, and the The Lift Equation album I co-created with musical friends, Daquqi.
